Blood on the Snow

The immersive theatrical experience at the Old State House.

In 2017, we mounted a 12-week run of the critically acclaimed Blood on the Snow, a site-specific theatrical production that explores the aftermath of the Boston Massacre through the lens of the tense debates that took place in the Council Chamber of the Old State House the day after the event. The Boston Globe hailed Blood on the Snow for its “burning immediacy,” describing it as a lively “clash of interests, backgrounds, principles, viewpoints, and personalities that seems to be occurring for the first time as we watch and listen.” The production was created in collaboration with with local playwright Patrick Gabridge and director Courtney O’Connor to stage the play.
